Can you use sun in if you have colored hair?
Sun?
Can you use sun in if you have colored hair?
yeahhh do it!
Reply:yes.. .but it will make it pretty damaged

Sun In is a bleach - it will lighten it, but it will damage it
Reply:Of course..it%26#039;ll just lighten it up a lil more
Reply:If you mean to go out in the sun after you have dyed your hair then yes.
Reply:yes I have blonde color treated hair and sun in looks so awesome in it :) and no it will NOT damage it at all...it will make it lighter and look relly nice :)
Reply:No. Read the directions. It says NOT to use in hair if it has been dyed.
Reply:Yes you can. I%26#039;ve done it before and it lightens your hair. It%26#039;ll all become lighter. The higlhights also will lighten adn it looks great
Reply:NO NO NO your hair will turn brittle and orange.
Reply:Yeah, Sun In and lemonjuice both lighten hair, and add natural highlights.

Watch out, though. Sun In has a tendency to make light hair orange.

I%26#039;d say try it and wear it in direct sunlight.
Reply:Hydrogen Peroxide works far better then sun. The sun will induce vitamin D into your system I believe and also damage your hair making it frizzy and promote split ends. Also if your wanting platinum blonde hair, just go out more daily and you should be fine. Your body is designed and intended in a certain way, just accept who and what you are and make the best of it! =D
Reply:NOOO!!! it ruins ur hair an makes it fall out!!!
Reply:Save some money and just use lemon juice. As hair gets lighter it loses color molecules and becomes weaker. Eventually it will dry out and break off. Best you can do is buy some Nexxus or Biolage shampoo and conditioners and lighten up on the towel drying which splits the hair. Blonde is beautiful, but deadly, proceed with care.
Reply:STOP!!! If you use sun in on your colored hair you will fry it !!! A good natural alternative is lots of lemon juice mixed with leave in conditioner and hair slicked into a ponytail. Stay outside for a few hours (WEAR SUNSCREEN) and you%26#039;ll have GORJUSS highlights!!!
Reply:No, it specifically says on the bottle (I have it): Not recommended for color-treated hair.

But it%26#039;s up to you.
